I would point out things in the book and then show him the same things in the airport. Now the important part, my son loves this book. It was great for keeping him entertained in the airport. I recently purchased this for a plane trip that I was going to fly solo with my 2 year old son. Lot's of fun and now he has something to remind him of the trip. Big enough to see all the intricate illustrations but small enough to fit into a bag. This size it great for traveling. Also it has a soft cover and is very light weight.
Same spirit of detail and fun. Try to find the guy chasing his hat on most of the pages. This book appears to be written by Huck Scarry in 2001 under the Richard Scarry Corporation. Still- a fun read.
We read them over and over for years. My child loves all of the Richard Scarry books.
real fun and goofy pictures too. we brought this book to the airport with us and my son had a blast comparing the pictures in the book with the real thing.
When he wants to think about them, all he has to do is pull out this book to remember the plane ride to their house. He then walks over and points to a picture of his gramma. If nothing else, it was a great way to help him make logical sense of the fact that his grandparents are far away. I bought this book in preparation for my 2 year old son's first plane ride to grandma's house. Cute book, and great teaching value for the bargain price. He picks out new things every time and I often find him sitting on the floor with this book open all on his own. We have several Richard Scarry books, so he is used to the chaotic array of images, and this is the book that he goes to several times a day.asking for the plane book. He has started talking about "plane to gramma's" pointing at the same plane every time.
